Garden Saunas in Northumberland
An outdoor garden sauna can turn an unused section of your garden into a dedicated space for relaxation and wellbeing.
Unlike an indoor sauna, an outdoor sauna can be positioned separately from your house, creating a private space that can be used throughout the year.
Our range includes different sizes and styles, allowing you to choose an outdoor sauna that works with your available space and the look of your property.
From traditional timber designs to modern options with large areas of glazing, there are plenty of ways to create an outdoor sauna that suits your garden.
Choosing the Right Sauna for Your Garden
Buying a sauna is an investment, so it’s important to consider more than just its appearance.
We’ll help you consider:
Size
How many people do you want your sauna to accommodate?
A compact sauna may be perfect for one or two people, while larger models provide more room for families or multiple users.
Location
Your sauna needs to be positioned on a suitable, stable and level base.
We’ll discuss the proposed location with you and consider access, positioning and installation requirements.
Heater
The sauna heater is one of the most important components of your sauna.
Different heaters have different power requirements and operating characteristics, so choosing the correct heater for the size and design of your sauna is important.
Our team can discuss the available options and help you understand the requirements before installation.
Design
Your sauna should complement its surroundings.
We supply outdoor sauna designs incorporating natural timber, glazing and modern finishes, allowing you to create a dedicated relaxation space that looks at home in your garden.
Sauna Installation in Northumberland
Professional sauna installation in Northumberland is an important part of getting the most from your sauna.
A sauna isn’t simply a garden building.
It contains a specialist heater, electrical components, ventilation requirements and heat-resistant internal materials that need to be considered during installation.
Our team can help coordinate the installation process and make sure you understand what is required before your sauna arrives.
Sauna Delivery and Access
Before arranging delivery, it’s important to consider how your sauna will reach its final location.
Every property is different.
Access may involve:
- Garden gates
- Narrow pathways
- Steps
- Walls
- Fences
- Sloping gardens
- Limited vehicle access
- Restricted delivery areas
We’ll discuss access requirements with you before installation so potential problems can be identified in advance.
Why Visit a Sauna Showroom Before Buying?
Buying a sauna entirely from photographs can make it difficult to appreciate the size, materials and construction.
At Lust Hot Tubs in North Shields, you can visit our showroom and speak directly with Team Lust about your requirements.
We can explain the differences between sauna sizes, heaters, materials and layouts, helping you make an informed decision before committing to your purchase.

Sauna Servicing and Maintenance
Buying a sauna is only the beginning.
Like any specialist equipment, your sauna needs to be properly maintained.
At Lust Hot Tubs, we also offer sauna servicing across the North East, helping customers keep their saunas operating correctly.
Our sauna service can include checks of areas such as:
- Sauna heater
- Heating elements
- Electrical components
- Seals and glass
- Internal condition
- External condition
- Sauna stones
- General operation
- Temperature monitoring
Following a service, we can provide a report detailing the checks carried out and any relevant findings.
Sauna Valeting and Wood Care
Keeping your sauna clean and properly maintained is particularly important when it is being used regularly.
Our sauna valet service can go further than a basic service, with additional cleaning and care of the sauna’s internal timber and heater area.
For outdoor saunas, the exterior timber also needs appropriate protection from the North East weather.
Rain, moisture, UV exposure and changing temperatures can all affect outdoor timber over time, so using suitable products and following the manufacturer’s recommendations is important.
Saunas for the Northumberland Climate
Northumberland weather can be unpredictable, with exposure to rain, wind, frost and changing temperatures throughout the year.
That’s why choosing a suitable outdoor sauna and looking after the timber properly is important.
Regular inspection and appropriate maintenance can help protect the appearance and condition of your sauna for years to come.
The location of the sauna, drainage around the base, ventilation and external timber treatment should all be considered as part of your installation and ongoing maintenance.
How Does Sauna Installation Work?
While every installation is different, the process will generally involve several key stages.
1. Choose your sauna
We’ll discuss the size, design and features you’re looking for.
2. Check the location
We’ll consider where the sauna will be positioned and discuss access requirements.
3. Prepare the base
Your sauna needs an appropriate, stable and level foundation.
4. Arrange delivery
We’ll arrange delivery to your Northumberland property and coordinate the installation requirements.
5. Installation
Our team will install the sauna and associated components as required.
6. Electrical connection
The sauna heater will require an appropriate electrical supply. Any electrical work should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with applicable requirements.
