The Year Lisa Changed Everything
Some years change your life. For Lisa, one particular year did exactly that.
After 13 years working at Winns Solicitors in Newcastle, Lisa decided it was time for a change. She left her career, started a degree in Midwifery, completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raised money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service, and created what would become Lust Hot Tubs.
Not a bad year!
From Newcastle to the Yorkshire Dales
Lisa’s story started in Newcastle upon Tyne, where she had spent 13 years working at Winns Solicitors.
But that year saw her take a completely different direction.
Alongside starting her Midwifery degree, Lisa travelled across to North Yorkshire to take on one of the country’s most recognised walking challenges — the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
The challenge takes walkers through the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park, tackling Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough over approximately 24 miles.
It’s a serious physical and mental challenge, but Lisa wasn’t doing it simply for herself.
Climbing for a Cause
Lisa completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks while raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service, supporting a charity that provides specialist emergency care across the North of England.
From the hills of Yorkshire to communities across the North East, it was a cause that made every step worthwhile.
And Then Came Lust Hot Tubs
As if leaving a 13-year career, starting a Midwifery degree and climbing three Yorkshire peaks wasn’t enough, Lisa also created Lust Hot Tubs in the same year.
What began as a new business venture would eventually become the company she runs today from North Shields, North Tyneside.
The determination required to climb mountains is perhaps not so different from building a business.
You keep moving forward.
One step at a time.
One challenge at a time.
Lisa Can Do It All
Looking back, that year was about far more than starting a business.
Lisa:
Left Winns Solicitors after 13 years in Newcastle.
Started a Midwifery degree.
Completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Raised money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Created Lust Hot Tubs.
From Newcastle, across the Yorkshire Dales, and back to the North East, it was a year full of change, challenges and new beginnings.
Today, Lisa continues to build Lust Hot Tubs from its home in North Shields, helping customers across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland and beyond create their own outdoor wellness spaces.
That year proved something important:
You don’t have to follow the same path forever.
Sometimes you just need the courage to take the next step.
Lisa can do it all.
And this was only the beginning.
